This just in: Homeless activist Cheri Honkala is poised to be Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein’s running mate. Honkala, a mother of two, and the national coordinator for the Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign is a former homeless person who, in running for sheriff of Philadelphia in 2011, based her campaign on a platform of halting evictions.
